Welcome to POLAR RESTAURANT 

Situated to the east of Girne, just past Karakum, on the main road to Çatalköy, Polar Restaurant is approximately ½ mile from the local beach and just 2 miles from the centre of Girne.

Polar Restaurant is a family-run restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. In the winter months you can enjoy your meal in a comfortable, warm and cosy environment, where we offer smoking and non-smoking tables; and in the summer you can relax and enjoy your meal al fresco.

Our menu is extensive and caters for every pocket and every taste. You can choose from our set meals, à la carte menu, vegetarian and childrens’ meals.

We serve local, traditional food and international dishes. Our traditional dishes include mezes, local fish, köfte, kebabs and other delights followed by desserts such as rice pudding or yogurt with honey and nuts, whılst our international dishes include prawn cocktail, steaks, curry, fish, duck and even fish and chips followed by desserts such as home made apple pie or cheesecake. Three-course set meals are offered at very reasonable prices and for those of you who miss the traditions of the UK, English Breakfast and Sunday Roast are also available, although during the summer months, Sunday Roast is replaced by a Mixed Barbecue with Meze.

Our selection of Turkish and local wines is extensive and we stock a wide range of spirits and liqueurs, both local and imported.

If you enjoy live music whilst you are dining our resident pianist/vocalist will entertain you every Friday evening.

In addition to our restaurant we have, on site, several apartments available to rent, and a large communal swimming pool. The pool is available daily for use by non-residents for a small fee.
